14 Killed in Bus Rollover in Algeria

Fourteen people were killed and 34 others injured on Saturday in a bus rollover accident in southern Algeria, according to a statement from the civil defense. Images published by local media showed the bus lying on its roof next to a road in the town of Tabelbala, about 400 kilometers south of the city of Bechar. The bus, which was carrying passengers, veered off the road and overturned while traveling on the highway connecting the cities of Bechar and Tindouf, in far southern Algeria. Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboun expressed deep sorrow over the accident, offering his condolences to the families of the victims. This traffic accident is the deadliest since August, when a bus carrying passengers overturned in a wadi near the Algerian capital, killing 18 people.
