The Algerian writer Wassini Al-Aarj described the female characters as they are the first sources from which he drank and he absorbed literature and humanity. He pointed out that 'One Thousand and One Nights' shaped his first encounter with the world of literature and the love of words and stories, and it was a gateway to his passion for reading despite the imposition of the French language on his country.
In a discussion session titled 'Wassini Al-Aarj: Biography and History from One Thousand and One Nights to the Essence of Narrative,' Wassini discussed the influence of 'One Thousand and One Nights' on world literature and emphasized that the narrative is a comprehensive art that provides an alternative homeland and a space to rearrange relationships and create a new world.
Wassini pointed to the role of artificial intelligence in the field of creative writing, and despite its benefits, he emphasized that nothing can replace the power of human creativity. At the end of the session and the signing ceremony, the president of the administration council of Mohammed Ben Rashid Library honored the participants in appreciation of their contributions.
Mohammed Ben Rashid Library is keen to support writers and Emirati creatives and to organize sessions and events for signing new publications to enhance cultural and literary dialogue. The library also seeks to promote intellectual production in the Arabic language and translated works in various fields of literature, knowledge, arts, and to preserve cultural heritage and document it for future generations.
